About Me
I am a US citizen intent on traveling. I have retired from two long-lasting careers: an ordained minister with an exclusive ministry in sacred music (organist-choirmaster), and a book dealer (2 stores and Internet selling). Another shorter career was as a data manager in medical research. Today, I am pursuing a writing career.
I am a freelance writer currently living in Europe. I a travel with a backpack and a computer. Not only do I travel lightly, I also participate in slow travel, staying up to 6 months or more to absorb the locale, the people, the food, and the customs. I spent 9 months in Panamá and 1 year stay in Ecuador. I made many of the mistakes expats make, but I think I have grown from these mistakes. I have published print and e-books (Second Harvest Books) and have written for magazines and newsletters in the fields of travel, history, religion, and music. I have traveled extensively – 47 states, Canada, Mexico, Panamá, Ecuador, and Europe. Some of my works can be seen in part at clippings.me/warren-r-johnson. I also publish the blog TravelSketches.info.
